Ladies Golf Equipment

The days of G.O.L.F. (Gentleman Only Ladies Forbidden) are all but over with only a few of the elitist clubs preventing Ladies from playing golf.

Ladies Golf Equipment, like the history and rules of the game, has evolved tremendously. The amount of technology involved in developing Ladies Golf Equipment is staggering.

From the club head design and weight to the gender specific flex of the graphite shaft, nothing is left to guess work. The game itself has seen a resurgence in popularity among the ladies; golf is a gentle way to keep fit, take in some cleansing fresh air and more importantly take life's frustrations out on a tiny little ball.

If you don't play already or if you need a refresher course, lessons are normally available from a Golf Club's Pro Shop. It will be able to accommodate you individually or within a group; and Ladies Golf Equipment will be available to buy from a professional who will be more than happy to advise you which clubs suit you best.

The game is often frustrating but that one day when you play well helps you remember why you took it up in the first place and why so many of us come back for more punishment.

Many Golf Clubs have specific dedicated Ladies playing mornings for competitions but will usually allow Ladies to play every day of the week, just like their male counterparts.

All major golfing manufacturers have seen the importance of catering to the fairer sex, who it has to be said are better supplied with golf equipment than left handed golfers!

A player usually carries several essential items of ladies golf equipment in her bag; including

a driver; for teeing off from the tee box,
fairway woods; 3, 5, 7 and sometimes 9 for shorter fairway shots
hybrid irons/club/metals, these multi-taskers are handy in a tight spot, flexible shot makers can be used off the rough, fairway and even for players who find using long irons difficult
irons, some manufacturers have done away with the longest of irons for Women and most iron sets start at 4 or 5 iron upwards
wedges, designed to get your golf ball out of sandy bunkers and the rough
putter, for playing over the green and into the hole
Waterproof suit, our weather in the UK being all but reliable determines the need to carry one of these even in Summer months, better to be safe than sorry,
Golf balls, including spares if some are lost through play
Tees
Towel for cleaning the club head or golf ball
Golf glove
Ball marker
Umbrella
Electric golf trolley and battery, unless you intend carrying all that kit and caboodle

Players will also need to sport the correct golfing attire and meet the Golf Club's clothing etiquette rules as well as smart golf shoes; some clubs have banned metal studs and only allow green friendly greens so if visiting another club it's always best to check.
The lengths of skirts and shorts are usually quite strict and the majority of clubs require t-shirts to be collared. Denim anything is a definite no-no. If in doubt check with the Secretary's Office or the Golf Professional's Shop for guidance before you go to play.

Ladies, play to win but most of all play because you enjoy it, the old saying if you can't beat them join them is true, but it isn't for everyone.

Peter Field Golf is an online shop in UK for Ladies Golf Equipment, all types of golf equipments like golf balls, shoes, golf clothing, golf trolleys, discount golf gloves and much more.
